Sebastien Marcovici, NYC Ballet principal dancer, gave his farewell performance with the company last night. An incredible talent and one of my all-time favorite photo subjects. #SebastienMarcovici #NYCBallet @tear27

Honored to be included in this year’s Visual AIDS benefit, POSTCARDS FROM THE EDGE. I can’t tell you what work I donated—that’s the fun of it—but if you go you might get your very own ORIGINAL Ed Ruscha, William Wegman, or John Waters artwork.
Oh, I just realized I never posted about this, but a few weeks ago now I had a shoot with Michael Sharkey & this is one of my faves he sent me from the day! I met him a bit over a year ago on another shoot for Rookie, and was super excited when he contacted me to do something else.
His website & tumblr can be found by clicking either link.
This summer’s Pride coverboy is Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson. You can read the cover story and see the first set of images on Advocate.com. Above, are two outtakes from the shoot, photographed by M. Sharkey in New York City. After the jump, see a behind-the-scenes GIF of Jesse’s mean encounter with his collection of bowties and an industrial fan. —Scott McPherson
